It Is Always Something

That is what you have to love about life.

This morning Georgia came and told me

"Mom I want watch Caillou."

We are a little Caillou obsessed around here. Sometimes when Georgia is driving Will crazy, I hear him yell, "No Rosie!" Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Rosie and Georgia have the same hair-do, and they are both the little sister of a four year old. My kids have also been known to describe bald men as having no hair, "like Caillou." Why is the poor boy bald anyway?

(See what I mean? Same hair-do.)

Anyway, sorry about that tangent. So Georgia wanted to watch Caillou.

I said," Not right now because I think the boys are still using the t.v. to watch a show."

Georgia, "No! It not Wally's house, it MY house!! It MY house! Boys is in the way!

I couldn't help but laugh at her frustrated outburst. Sometimes the things this girl comes up with really surprise me. I think she is wondering when school starts again for those boys and she has free reign around here. And when I say reign, I mean it. Queen Georgia!

Yesterday a man in our ward came to look at our water heater. It has been broken for TOO long. We are on our third visit from the plumber to try to fix it. I am a little frustrated.
I can't do the freezing cold shower thing one more time. I was so desperate for a warm shower for me and the kids, that I wore my swimming suite under my clothes to their swimming lessons today. Then I went into the locker room and washed the kids, and my hair when lessons were over. I felt ghetto fabulous wrestling them around in the family shower with my pregnant belly hanging out of my tankini, while people walked by. I REALLY hope that the plumber today can keep the pilot light lite. I was reminded of the sprinkler shower scene from Fun With Dick and Jane. Yikes. I am thinking hotel room next time. We can make it a "get clean get-away."

So on that subject, Georgia again has me rolling with her observant ways. While the plumber was here last night I asked her who was downstairs. She said,

"He a papa." That means grandpa. Yes, he is a grandpa.

Then she said, " He a pummer."

Me, " A what? A plumber?"

Georgia, nodding, "Yeah, he a pummber. He has lots of water."

I asked Del if he had explained the whole thing to Georgia. He hadn't. I guess she just picked up on me complaining that I need a plumber and some nice hot water NOW!

This girl is scary perceptive. We are quickly learning that you don't say anything you don't want repeated in our house. Our kids notice everything, and then spill the beans! I don't even want to know what their primary teachers know about our family.

P.S. If you see me on your porch with greasy hair and a towel, please, open the door and just point me toward the bathroom! Friends... all you fancy people with the hot water, anyone?

This Means Summer

Nothing like a good Kool-Aid mustache!
Yup, we've been drinking the Kool-Aid.
Oh, and Georgia has been using it to dye her hands red.

A Little More Than Half Way!

Please excuse the yoga pants, no makeup profile, and junk on the dresser. That's how it is on a weekday afternoon around here!

They Tell Us It's A...

BOY!!

We are thrilled to be a four boy household! Georgia and I are going to have to stick together. Curled in a tiny ball almost the entire time, but finally let us get a little peek. I am not going to lie, I am going to a 3D imaging place to verify. I have been dealt that hand before. Does Wally look like a girl to you? I think not, but he fooled the lady doing our ultra-sound back in 2002! Oh and this profile image? Will, all the way!

Go Cubs Go-ooo!

We had a fun family outing this week! Our first Cub's game attended by all of us. I posted our baseball game experience in pictures. It was definitely something I want to do again soon! Go Cubs, Go!!

We started the night off with the Skokie Swift train ride to get to Wrigleyville, then grabbed some good ol' diner food! YUMMY shakes!

Ketchup with some fries on the side-Georgia's favorite!

Like I said, YUMMY shakes!

A tantrum in Wrigelyville. Leave it to us.

In front of Wrigely Field

Take me out to the ball game.

Fun!

Getting a little wrestless. We had to start getting creative around the 6th inning.

Lots of begging for everything in sight. Those guys yelling about the food they sell is too temping for little boys. Cotton candy wasn't enough.

Lots of pouting when every demand wasn't met.

The stadium seating on the rooftops around the field. There were some major parties going on top of some of them.

Don! We had so much fun, and our kids really were so good. We might just have to take them out to the ball game again!

Lake Geneva

For our 4th of July celebrations we took a little camping trip up to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin with the Tyson family and company. Del even went all out for me, purchasing a new tent, (our family has expanded beyond the four man sleeper,) and some lovely new air mattresses for my pregnant comfort.

We played on the beach, what there was of a beach anyway. Burying Del was hard work!

Ran through the waves.

Built sand castles. Sort of.

Had an intense arm wresting competition.

Went tubing. Wally has learned a good lesson...when the tube gets sucked under the water, or flips, LET GO!

Cruised around with Jared and Ella to look at all the amazing real estate on the lake.

And in the end, had so much fun, we couldn't keep our eyes open. Georgia climbed into this camp chair and was out. I think the two falls out of the van, and three falls from the picnic table bench might have had something to do with her level of exhaustion! Thanks for the fun friends!!
