Hawaii-Polynesian Cultural Center

The Polynesian Cultural Center is located right next to the BYU-Hawaii campus, and the LDS Laie Temple near the North Shore on Oahu. I loved the pretty coastline drive up to the North end of the island. Made me realize THAT is the place to stay when you visit!

The whole concept behind the Cultural Center is to provide an opportunity for the students from the college to work their way through school. It is geared toward those who may not have this chance if not for the visitors to the island. It is a win-win, because it gives so many people more knowledge of the strong heritage of the Polynesian people, and all the money spent goes toward their education.

The entire thing is run beautifully! You can telly that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints maintains the program, because like everything the church does, it is well thought out, has a strong purpose, has an amazing atmosphere, and cultivates the Spirit, and leaves you with a feeling of love for your brothers and sisters from other lands, and walks of life here on this Earth. It is a very positive experience!

The Temple. Being on the grounds was so peaceful and nice. As is the case with all LDS temples. We got there JUST before the sun went down.
