Hawaii-Pearl Harbor

We visited Pearl Harbor while we were on Oahu. It was something I have always wanted to see. It is a sobering atmosphere, and really has been made into a lovely sight.  We enjoyed it, and by the time we were done, we were ready to go to bed because the time change was killing us!

There were memorial plaques that listed the names of all the soldiers who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor. The number of names was overwhelming.
I love the white, sleek look of the memorial over the Battleship Arizona. So striking out on the water. Hearing the accounts of that day, and the strategy behind it was so memorable. I would love to take my kids to visit this active burial ground one day.
