Easter was so nice this year!
We got back into town from a trip East that I am trying to organize into a post, with no big plans for Easter. My aunt and uncle had invited us to join them, and we wish we could have, but we were cutting it too close, and trying to be ready for back to school for the kids. So we decided we better stay home.
Very last minute our good friends the Laws, drove down from Wisconsin to have Easter dinner at our home after church. I was so excited that they could come! We pulled together a nice feast for our two families! It also made it possible to get some use out of our Easter decorations!
The kids in their Easter duds.
The kids gave me the best Easter gift they ever could! They were really good during Sacrament and there was no angry teeth clenching or hauling out of naughty children done by me!
Del taught part of a combined adult meeting during third hour and did a really nice job sharing his thoughts on forgiveness.
We did have time on Saturday to do some egg dying, and Pinewood Derby car making. Our kitchen looked like an absolute wreck as of the kids bedtime Saturday night!

World Market had some really cute Easter things this year. I love these cups!
A little chick greeted everyone at the table.
I was so grateful for Easter this year. I needed the spiritual refinement that it brought. Easter Sunday falling just hours after our return from an equally spiritually uplifting stop in Palmyra, New York was also perfect timing. I really enjoyed the calm and peace of this Easter.
We ended the day with some Skype time with my family.
Thanks for spending Easter with us Laws family!
