We have a bit of a dilemma on our hands. Since putting up the fencing in our backyard, turtles have been appearing nightly, trying to slowly maneuver their way around, or pathetically, over the fence, to reach the pond water.
So, we have to go out and shovel turtles over the fence.
I recorded Del lifting one over, after a failed attempt the night before. The turtle swung its head around when he tried to pick it up, and bit him on the finger! Luckily, he was wearing gloves.
So, we got this guy over the fence, only to find a few hours later that there was an even BIGGER one stuck back there! Talk about unforeseen consequences! We feel bad, but all we can do it lift them over. We certainly aren't taking the fence down because in a matchup of whose well-being we will put as a priority, a turtle's or Walker's... Walker wins it every time!
Here is the one that we found later. What a monster!
And her is the video of our second attempt to rescue the first turtle. We gave up the night before, and came back in the morning after it bit Del because it was so dark. I always sound like a giggling idiot in video. So sorry for that.

So I guess that turtle we found a few months back grew up! :) Ha, I love it!

I have been meaning to ask what ever happened to that little guy? I know... one turtle at my house the size of a quarter, and one the size of a serving platter! Birds making nests literally ALL over that outside of the house! Hello nature! Grrrr!!!!
