Georgia Turns 5!
Georgia is finally five! Oh boy, was she ready! Five means you use all the fingers on your hand to tell people how old you are. It means you do very important things like swim across the pool all by yourself. Not really, but that is what she told her swim teacher. I know for a fact she would not make it just yet.
But most of all, it means Kindergarten!! It makes me sad that my little girl is so anxious to start school, especially considering she has not even finished this year of pre-school yet. But I am glad she has the confidence and excitement to go. What a blessing to have kids that enjoy going to school!
Georgia told me on the morning of her birthday, "Being four was SO hard on me!"
I had no idea!
I am glad there appears to be some relief for this poor girl in turning five!
She is funny, that is for sure. The other day she was running around the house in a panic because the boys were getting ready to go out into the woods next to our house for an adventure with their friends, and she could not find her shoes. She was desperate to go. When I pointed them out to her, she sighed in relief and said,
"Oh good! There are two things I hate, spiders and being left behind!"
Ha, ha! Those are both pretty bad when you are the little sister!
And she ran out the door in a dance leotard and pink tutu, to have a rough and tumble adventure in the mud.
By the way, I am probably going to owe the golf course I don't even want to know how much money, because of all the "excavating" my kids have been doing on a small hill near the golf cart path. Apparently it is a great source for "fossils." But more than likely, THEY are a great source of erosion. I put a stop to it, and find them back over there digging away a few days later. Frustrating.
Georgia is also almost impossible to take a decent picture of when she sets her mind to it. And she had her mind made up on her birthday that the pictures would not be great.
Georgia got her box of birthday cereal. It was gone within hours. Most of it ended up being vacuumed up off of the floor. I should have just gotten her a bag of mini marshmallows. That is all my kids care about when it comes to Lucky Charms. Oh well, the faster it is gone, the faster it is GONE!
We love you SOOO much Georgia! You are the eyes an ears of our house, and I can't imagine any of it without you. You keep everyone in line, and always have an idea brewing in your head. Your energy does not stop! I know you will do great things. The impact you have had on my life began the moment you were placed in my arms after you were born. We are so glad you are in our family, Girlie!
