Let Vacuuming Babies Clean

Walker has a major obsession with the vacuum and the lawn mower.

He loves to investigate where all the vacuum tubes lead, push it around, and scream with delight as he runs right in front of it while I use it.

But he took things to a new level yesterday. He actually led me to the closet where the vacuum is kept, and jabbered and pointed until I pulled it out. I thought I may as well use it, and I unwound the cord. Then I got distracted. When I came back, Walker had it plugged in, but was upset that he could not get it to release, and recline, so he could push it around. So I did that for him.
The next thing I knew, he had it up and running, and vacuumed the entire main level of the house.

He was dead serious about this task. I could tell by the way his little tongue was sticking out in concentration. He barley noticed me taking pictures, he was so absorbed in the job.

Make sure you get under the furniture.

I have seen Walker push the vacuum around before, but what he did next had me doing a double take.
He gathered up the cord, and wound it up in his hand. A perfect coil. Now that is hand/eye coordination!

Then, he did what he has seen me do when I am being too lazy to wind the cord the right way, he tried to put the coil over the top of the handle.
It was hard work, and his coil fell apart.

Maybe if I get it even closer to the ground. Maybe not.

Then it was time to put the vacuum away.

Tongue still out.

Success! Just pretend the cord is not still dragging. It was a valiant effort. My goodness! I do hope this enthusiasm lasts! I could use a clean freak around here! What a good boy!
