The Birthday Dinner
It is a crazy week. I am helping with a farewell party for a gal from church on Friday. She is going into the military. She babysits my kids and they love her. We are sad she is leaving.
Then, just 48 or so hours after that Del and I are headed to Costa Rica for a week.
So... I told Wally that because it is hectic, and because we are having his baptism just a couple of weeks after we get home from our trip, we would keep the birthday simple. Just a few friends at the restaurant of his choice. He made his dad proud...
He chose Buffalo Wild Wings.
It ended up being slightly less simple than planned because Del's car would not start about and hour and a half away from home earlier that day. But he managed to get a rental car and make it on time to help with rides for all the kids.
So we showed up at the restaurant with six little boys, and one red headed girl in tow. I am sure they hated us. But these are all SUCH good little boys, and it was so fun to watch Wally with them. You just don't realize how grown up your boy is until you hear him say to a pal. "Good one, man!" and "Dude! Dude! DUDE!!"
Me and my Wally boy.
Me and my stinkin' droopy eyes.

Thanks for having Jaren! He had so much fun. I heard about the skateboard cake. You are so "cool!"
