Del and I were able to leave our kids with his sister Renee, my sister Emily, and my parents, and get away to San Diego for a few nights. This trip was just... aaaaahh.... Nice and relaxing. Being sick lately didn't leave me up for many big adventurous activities, but we managed to have such a nice time just being away from the normal chaos before another baby. And I felt reasonably well, as long as we stuck to my two hour snacking schedule. Del made this such a fun trip for me by taking me to a really beautiful hotel, letting me get a massage, and pretty much doing what ever I felt up for.
We were able to see our good friends Brady and Mandy, who drove down from Orange County for dinner at a restaurant right on the beach one night. We walked around downtown La Jolla, hit the beach until our pale Scandinavian, Chicago dwelling skin reached the breaking point, lay around the incredible pool, eat a yummy dinner at Ruth's Chris, share some laughs about our rental car, shop, order room service, and just enjoy some warm weather for once!!! Thanks a bunch babe, and all our family, for the great get away! It was FABULOUS! Love ya San Diego!
I found lots of fun things to take pictures of around the hotel grounds. So I spent some time going crazy! It was such a great time! What beautiful scenery!

I'm jealous...I can't remember the last time Matt and I went on a vacation by ourselves. It looks like you guys had an enjoyable time.
