My first clue: When a bag of potato chips had me stopping in my tracks at the grocery store, and then I ripped the bag open and ate about half of it in the car on the way home. It had probably been years since I had eaten one before that.
Yup, I am pregnant!!
I am coming up on three months and have seen a hearbeat, so we are getting excited and hoping for the best! I found out pretty early on because of a freak virus Wally had called "Slap Cheek Disease," or "Fifth Disease," or "Parvovirus B19."
I know... WHAT?
That is what I said when they told me and then said that I should make sure I was not pregnant because it is dangerous to be around people with the disease while carrying a baby, especially in early pregnancy. So what else would be the case but: I WAS PREGNANT! Leave it to our timing! I went in for blood work, and things came back normal, but that was a scare on top of already being nervous about getting past the miscarriage stage.
We are grateful for the addition to our family, and I remind myself of that every time I forget to do something important because I am in the dark early pregnancy sickness haze, i.e.: Puzzle and Snack day at Wally's school, laundry so we have something decent to wear, pay the house tax bill, inform Will's school he will be gone for an entire week, or even get up when the alarm goes off. Luckily Del is helping me as much as he is, and Georgia is good about playing next to me while I rest. My boys have a hard time understanding why mom is laying around so much.
I am due around Thanksgiving, and I plan to enjoy this little baby, and my pregnancy as much as is possible for me. The years of having children has flown by in my life, and I want to cherish these memories.
We'll keep you posted about Baby No-name #4!
P.S. Mom and Emily, I just kept thinking of "My Dear Little Fifty Four" from the 6X9 poem! Maybe I should name it MaryAnn if it is a girl!!!

ok...so somehow I missed this post! I can't believe it... You know how Jeni lives in Mesquite now? Well we got together at a splash park with our kids today and she mentioned about you being pregnant and I had no idea. Then she said she'd read it on your blog so I came home and checked and sure enough! :) How wonderful! I'm so excited for you! I hope you are feeling better by now and can't wait to hear what you're having. Jeni and I were talking about how old we feel lately. Do you feel that way sometimes? I can't beleive you're on your fourth baby. K this rambling is turning into a novel...I'm really thrilled for you.
oh yeah, beautiful photography from your San Diego Trip! You look amazing too!
