We don't have huge bedrooms in our house, and so as much as I hate them, we put the boys together in a room, in bunkbeds. The kids are in LOVE with them however, and Will has gone from not being able to fall asleep until he has played in his room for hours, to not being able to fall asleep without knowing Wally is nearby.
Georgia has made the switch to the "Big Girl" bed. She is doing really well with it. We set it up in her room for about a month before we took her out of her crib so that she could get used to it. I am looking for something to do with the walls in her room to transition them from what they were for her nursery. So if you have any tips...
And finally, we are ready for our third little guy. He will take over Will's old room, and hopefully, will be nice and cozy.
So here are the pictures. I have been re-finishing, painting, and cleaning second hand items up for the past few months. But I am always open to design tips. So any good ideas out there, let me know!
The big boy room. I am still looking for some tan pillows for the boys room. Preferably burlap or linen. If you see any out there fill me in! I kind of want to make the blue bed spreads more of an accent, rather than use them as the main bedding.
The $5 garage sale leather chair, and the only store bought dresser we own. It is a place for Wally to keep his treasures, as you can see. Some Bakugon guys, a pumpkin, and a book with maps of Moab that Grandpa gave him. It is special to him.
Georgia's room. One night I went into her room to re-tuck her into bed, and she pointed to the three pictures of her as a baby on the wall and said,
"See those babies?"
Me "Yes."
Georgie" They talkin' a me."
Me trying not to laugh, "Oh yeah? What are they saying?"
Georgia " Dow know, they not talkin' no more."
She is hilarious!
I need to figure out what to do with this corner. I wish I could find a great doll house that doesn't cost the same as a real house, and maybe switch the frames to this wall after I find something to fill the big one. Hmmm....
I found this dresser at a garage sale for $10 about five years ago. Will used it when he was a baby, and I just keep re-painting it to make it work. It is old as the hills.
The Nursery. I am debating bringing in my white rocking chair. I have used it for all my kids, but it could be more comfortable.
At least it would be somewhere to sit with the baby.
The old window pane above the crib is from the super-duper little old white house Del and I lived in back in our collage days. My dad helped us take it from a storage unit covered in trees, to our cute little abode that we paid $350 in rent for each month. This was one of the windows from the back porch of the house that we replaced and I kept all these years. Kind of sentimental to us. We were happy there. We are happy now too... we just have kids, and aren't nearly as poor. It would be hard to be! More to love! The blessing outfit is the same one Del wore as a baby. Wally was also blessed in it.
Another second-hand dresser, and the frames just waiting to hold pictures of Baby! Everything is a work it progress, it always is around here! Del just loves it that my mind is always on to the next thing! ------Just kidding.

All the rooms look so cute! You are so good at putting things together-I missed out on that talent! Hope you are all feeling better and can hang on a few more weeks for baby 4!
You guys have been busy! I love all the changes! You definitely have an eye and a talent for decorating.
Jess The rooms are so cute!!! I LOVE all of them, especially the babies drawer handles. Oh, I can not wait for him. Wish we could come see the little man when he's born, but i guess we can wait a little longer. I'm so ready to hold a newborn again, and have McIntosh look like a monster. We'll keep you and the baby in our prayers for everything to go smoothly, who know maybe he'll break the mold of under developed lungs (lets hope), Because I know how much fun it is too have your baby in the NICU.
Love you guys and miss you all like crazy!!!
Jess and Del...thanks for letting us watch your darlings last night. We had a blast! The house is adorable and I love all of the changes to the rooms. Wally was so proud of his Moab book...one of the first things we saw. Will was so proud of the bunk beds that his mom and dad helped put together. Georgia showed me her big girl bed with pride. They are all very excited for Baby "W" to join them. Hope to see you again soon!
Hey Jess! Long time, girl, long time!
I am impressed you have the time and energy to do all the rearranging, but I guess after baby comes, your time will be completely devoted to other things!
Thanks for saying hi! Yes life is so crazy. I hope you and your family are getting your strength back. My daughter is also one MEAN bugger when she was sick!
Best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy and in the coming months ahead.
