Summer Is Officially Crazy

I thought Summer was supposed to be relaxing. Instead I have found myself jolted out of my sleep even earlier than in the Winter months to get Wally up and at em' for the Summer School bus.So here is our week at a glance... Just in case for some strange reason you were interested.

MONDAY
Said goodbye to Del the daddy for a week of Scout camp High Adventure.

Took Wally to his firt day of Summer School, where he eyed the sweet, white haired teacher with a " You have no idea what you'r dealing with," kind of look on his face. He told me that her face is "all sprinkled up," and pinches the sides of his eyes. I guess he means she has wrinkles.

Dropped Will off at his first day of Playground Group. It is a community play program that has the kids doing crafts and games with counslors in the morning.

Ran around town crazy to get things done while the boys were occupied.

Picked up Will and had the wresting brawl of the century on the sidewalk next to the car when Georgia refused to sit in her car seat.

Raced to Wally's school to pick him up before they stuck him on the 100+ degree, no air conditioning, bus to send him home. Late because of the scene with Georgia.

TUESDAY:

First day of the bus to school for Wally. Watched him avoid sitting next to a boy so hyper active it made even Wally uncomfortable.

Took an unsure Will to Playground Group.

Got stopped in Walmart at least three times by people with comments on the mighty tantrum being thrown by Georgia. I mean slithering around on the floor, the works.

Sat on my couch wondering how I can do this for another five weeks, and another five days without Del.

Picked up Will who told me that I was "great" for coming to get him.

Picked up Wally.

Enforced quiet time

WEDNSDAY

Alarm

Bus

Playground drop off.

Almost cried watching Will stand there so unsure of himself as I drove away.

Doctors appointment. Spilled my guts about contractions, (yes, they started at 16 weeks, gonna be a long one) headaches, vericose veins, a sore tail bone, and all the other stuff that makes you feel like a whinny woman. Was told it is hard being prego in the summer. Super.

Almost passed out from not eating while scheduling my ultra-sound. Embarrassing. I had to stuff a gronola bar in my mouth around dry heaves. Poor nurse.

Kid pick up. Will told me he was proud of me for coming to get him again.

Took my kids to the movie rental store and bribed them to watch something while I took a nap with Georgia.

THURSDAY

I don't remember this day. I am pretty sure I got everyone where they needed to be, and fed them.

FRIDAY

No school or playground group. Played in the pool in the backyard. Will asked Wally once when I was lecturing about getting away from the hot oven, "Why is mom always such a maniac?"

I.M.'d with Kathryn. She was another lone woman thanks to Scout Camp in St. George.

Got a call from Del that they got back from High Adventure early and he was headed home a day early! YIPPI!

SATURDAY

Spent the day at the Six Flags water park, until I felt like a stuffed, fried, tired banana in my yellow suit, and headed home for a steak grilled by my lovely, under-appreciated before last week, husband.

P.s. Thanks for keeping tabs on me all week mom. I am sure you were more than sick of calling everyday.

Holy cow that was quite the week! Amazing what a difference those few hours in the evening make when the hubby is home.

Seriously, who knew it would be such an ordeal to have children. Thank heaven for the moments when they say"good job mom" even if you feel bad for leaving them at playgroup! Hang in there!!

Wow, glad you survived! Kaden has decided it is fun to yell at me lots, but has yet to throw himself on the ground-maybe because he isn't walking yet-I am sure it will come! Hang in there-this too shall pass! :)
