When The Sweets Come To Chicago

We run them around with a car load of kids, expose them to freezing 150 mile an hour winds, get a LOT of strange looks, and comments from the young professional types in restaurants down town, have lots of fun, and wear em' right out!

We had so much fun with Shelley, Adam, and Owen a couple of weeks ago when they came for a visit. Unfortunately, Good Friday crowds, and crazy weather interfered with our best laid plans, but we still managed to get the feel for Chicago, and it was fun to have family around! Del's parents were in town a few days before the Sweet family, and I didn't pull my camera out once! Terrible! Now I am kicking myself for not getting any shots with them, but here are some of the pictures I got just in case we didn't get the same on your camera, Shell...

Good ol' Wrigley Field!

Me, representing our family at Buckingham fountain. The kids couldn't catch their breath in the powerful winds, so they stayed in the car with Del.

The skyline.

Owen, wanting no part of it.

Wow, I have somehow missed those fountains in my trips to downtown-you will have to fill me in! Looks like fun!

We have family coming in the summer but we still don't know the city very well. You'll have to give me your top ten list of "must sees" while they are here. How do you always look so good?
