When Nursery Kids Attack

On Sunday, our poor little Georgia was involved in an attack in nursery. A little boy whose mother is investigating the church charged her and scratched her face up pretty good. It was so sad to have her handed to me with blood all over her face from all the cuts. She was happy to leave church that day, and is fine now, but it shook me up a little. The mother of the little guy who scratched her felt pretty bad, as you can imagine. But if anyone knows what it is like to have your kids do things you want to die when you hear about, it is me, so I could only tell her not to feel too bad.

Lets just say we send our kids to church to get their street smarts. When Will was less than a year old, another kid almost took a chunk out of his face with a hard bite. So we are just breaking Georgia in. I guess you could say we are teaching them to "turn the other cheek."

Oh, that just breaks your heart. At least the mom did something about it. Our problem was always with the little boy who's mom would blame everyone but her son. Good ol' nursery!

Poor Georgia! That looks brutal! My kids have gotten a couple of fat lips but nothing that bad! I hope she'll heal fast. I had to laugh at your comment you left me about del playing ball even with a broken jaw...he loves it huh? And then again when you mentioned the moldings above my window...I was like, what? So I went back and looked at the picture and sure enough, you can see them. How funny that you would notice...you have such a good eye for decorating. They're one of my favorite things we did in our house, I love details like that. It just seems to add so much. I'll have to come see your house and family sometime...I've been wanting to!
